The City of Selma is a growing and thriving full-service municipal agency serving a population of over 23,000.  The police department is staffed with 37 sworn and 16 non-sworn employees.

The Selma Police Department employees are committed to serving the community in a manner which promotes community awareness and remains sensitive to the needs of its citizens.  As our community continues to grow, so do the challenges we face as a department and we are committed to meeting those challenges. We are proud of the fact that the employees of this department maintain a sense of teamwork and unity.
