RENTAL INFORMATION
Shelter Rentals
for birthday parties, family reunions or
other get-togethers are available at Brentlinger, Shafer and Peter Ringo
Parks. Rental fees are $35.00 for
Selma residents and $65.00 for
non-residents. Shelters may be rented
for up to one year in advance at the
Recreation and Community Services
Department.
Softball Tournaments
can be held at Shafer Park.
Rental and fee information is available
by calling the Recreation and Community
Services Department.
PARK PROJECTS
Shafer Park New Playground
Equipment has been installed and is
open to the general public. In
addition, the City of Selma received a $44,000
grant from the California Integrated
Waste Management Board for
Rubberized Mulch for both the Shafer and
Berry Park Playgrounds.

Ribbon Cutting Dedication
A New Water Spray
Park has been constructed at Salazar Park.
The Water Park has replaced the outdated
wading pool. The spray park is
open daily from 11:00am to 7:00pm
through Labor Day weekend weather
permitting, free of charge
for youth to use.

Reconstruction/Resurfacing of the
Brentlinger Tennis Courts was completed
and open to the public on Monday, July
16, 2007. New fencing has also been
installed around the Tennis Courts, the
light poles have been painted and all
lights were either repaired or replaced.
Shafer Park Ball
Field #3 lighting has been
completed and the infield also is
presently being developed. In
addition, new bleachers will be added
and games will begin being played on
Field #3 in March of 2008.
The Skateboard Park
is located
at Berry Park, corner of Whitson and
Second Street. The Park is open
daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Helmets, knee and elbow pads are
required. The park will be closed
at times for failure to follow helmet
and pads rules, maintenance, graffiti
and vandalism. Please take care of
our park.
The Skate Park does have lights.

Pioneer Village
Pioneer Village is located at 1880
Art Gonzales Parkway and may be rented
for a variety of purposes, including,
but not limited to Birthday Parties,
Family Reunions, Special Events and a
variety of other potential events.
The Cities annual Easter Egg Hunt,
Halloween "IT LIVES" Event and Mariachi
Festival are just a few of the annual
events held at Pioneer Village.
