The Sports Division consists of supervised recreational programs for youth       and adults.  The department will continue to provide a high quality of service to    all participants registered in the programs.  In addition, the department provides support and funding to a variety of private youth sports organizations and   accepts and processes applications from individuals who request reservations    for ball field usage.

SELMA HALL OF FAME

 

 

 

 

First Time Ever

Selma will be hosting a Hall of Fame Banquet on Friday,      March 13, 2009 to recognize high achievement in a recognized athletic related field.  Individuals recognized could include athletes, umpire/official, coach, journalist, league official or representative, etc...  This success or contribution could be locally, state, nationally or worldwide.  Individuals who have had lived, gone to school or represented Selma will be reviewed based on such things as leadership, character, integrity, success and brought recognition to the city.

Nomination forms and criteria are attached and must be submitted by January 15, 2009 by 5:00 p.m.  Anyone is eligible to submit a Nomination Form for a person who they believer is deserving of consideration to be selected into the Selma Hall of Fame.
