    On behalf of the fine men and women of the Selma Police Department, I welcome you to our police department's website. It is my hope you find this an easy way to access many of the programs and services that we offer as well as other important law enforcement links you may wish to explore.

    The City of Selma is a growing and thriving full-service municipal agency serving a population of over 25,000.  The police department is staffed with 37 sworn and 12 non-sworn positions.

    The Selma Police Department employees are committed to serving the community in a professional manner which promotes community involvement and remains sensitive to the needs of its citizens.  As we continue to grow, so do the challenges we face as a community, and the Selma Police Department is committed to working with the all of our citizens in meeting those challenges.

    I am committed, personally, to ensuring the Selma Police Department will provide professional service to, and improving the quality of life of the members of our community,  focusing on utilizing today's modern technology to assist in optimizing the use of our resources. 

    To accomplish our tasks we need the help and support of the citizens of this great community. We encourage the citizens of Selma to get involved in our community by volunteering their time and skills with the various programs that are offered through the City of Selma and the Selma Police Department.
