Transit

Effective July 1, 2009, the Fresno County Rural Transit Agency (FCRTA) will be directly contracting with the Fresno County Economic Opportunities Commission (FCEOC) to operate Selma Transit.  The service itself will be very similar in appearance.  The existing drivers and dispatchers will all be transferred to FCEOC.  The telephone number as well as the dispatcher office will remain the same.  All inquiries, information or comments regarding Selma Transit will need to be directed to FCEOC.  For information please call Selma Transit at (559) 891-2237.

The Selma Transit Division operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  The Transit Division operates four compressed natural gas vehicles and a gas vehicle.  The natural gas vans operate on an “on call basis” and will pick up and drop off at the requested destination within the sphere of influence in Selma.  The fixed route starts at the Senior Center and moves through the Centralized Downtown Business District and near the large shopping centers throughout Selma.  The Fresno County Economic Opportunities Commission (FCEOC) operates one vehicle in Selma on Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Selma Transit operates under the Fresno County Rural Transit Agency (FCRTA).
