Effective July 1, 2009, the Fresno
County Rural Transit Agency (FCRTA) will
be directly contracting with the Fresno
County Economic Opportunities Commission
(FCEOC) to operate Selma Transit.
The service itself will be very similar
in appearance. The existing
drivers and dispatchers will all be
transferred to FCEOC. The
telephone number as well as the
dispatcher office will remain the same.

regarding Selma Transit will need to be

The Selma Transit Division operates
Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to
5:30 p.m. The Transit Division operates
four compressed natural gas vehicles
and a gas vehicle. The natural
gas vans operate on an “on call basis”
and will pick up and drop off at the
requested destination within the sphere
of influence in Selma. The fixed
route starts at the Senior Center and
moves through the Centralized Downtown
Business District and near the large
shopping centers throughout Selma. The
Fresno County Economic Opportunities
Commission (FCEOC) operates one vehicle
in Selma on Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m.
Selma Transit operates under the
Fresno County Rural Transit Agency (FCRTA).
