How Can I Participate?
The Recreation and
Community Services Department will work with you to place
you in a volunteer assignment that will
be of interest to the volunteer and
provide a positive experience.
Requirements for
each position are listed on the job
description. All volunteers must
fill out an application and go through a
general orientation. The
orientation includes distribution of the
volunteer handbook as well as
information on policies, procedures and
other relevant information. Some
positions require a
fingerprint/background check.
Those who use their auto or a City
vehicle in their volunteer work must
provide proof of current auto insurance,
and participate in a city vehicle
in-service.
