The Recreation and Community Services Department will work with you to place you in a volunteer assignment that will be of interest to the volunteer and provide a positive experience.

Requirements for each position are listed on the job description.  All volunteers must fill out an application and go through a general orientation.  The orientation includes distribution of the volunteer handbook as well as information on policies, procedures and other relevant information.  Some positions require a fingerprint/background check.  Those who use their auto or a City vehicle in their volunteer work must provide proof of current auto insurance, and participate in a city vehicle in-service.
