The City Of Selma's Animal Services Center is dedicated to keeping pets with their families and providing pet resources to residents of Selma

Open to the Public: Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm

Calls for Service:
  • Animal Services Team Availability: Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 4 pm
  • After-Hours Priority Calls: The Police Department will handle Priority 1 calls (dog bites, sick and injured, vicious animals) after 4 pm on weekdays, Saturdays, and all day Sunday. Non-priority calls will be addressed by the Animal Services team the following business day.

Animal Services Needs Include:
  • Providing emergency transportation for injured stray animals
  • Animal bite reporting and quarantine as necessary
  • Impounding and temporary care for stray and unwanted animals
  • Conducting criminal investigations involving animals
  • Resolving citizen complaints regarding animals
  • License enforcement
  • Assisting with animal traps as needed
  • Dangerous/vicious animal enforcement
  • Assisting with vaccination clinics
  • Coordinating euthanasia services when absolutely necessary
