The Community Services Division consists of special events, facility rentals and usage, park and shelter rentals, Pioneer Village, and various youth, adult and senior enrichment programs.  Park, Pioneer Village and Shelter Rental forms may be accessed by scrolling down and downloading an application. 


BERRY PARK

BRENTLINGER PARK

SALAZAR PARK

Amenities: Salazar Youth Center, Water Spray Park, Playground Equipment, Restrooms, Ball Field, Basketball Courts, Open Space

SHAFER PARK

Location: Thompson and Floral
Amenities: Ball Fields, Playground Equipment, Restrooms, Basketball Courts, Open Space, Picnic Shelters, Walking/Jogging Trail, Volleyball Courts

RENTAL INFORMATION

Shelter Rentals for birthday parties, family reunions or other get-togethers are available at Brentlinger, Shafer and Peter Ringo Parks.  Rental fees are $35.00 for Selma residents and $65.00 for non-residents.  Shelters may be rented for up to one year in advance at the Recreation and Community Services Department.

Softball Tournaments can be held at Shafer Park.  Rental and fee information is available by calling the Recreation and Community Services Department.

PARKS OFFER A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR THE COMMUNITY

   

The Skateboard Park  is located  at Berry Park, corner of Whitson and Second Street.  The Park is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Helmets, knee and elbow pads are required.  The park will be closed at times for failure to follow helmet and pads rules, maintenance, graffiti and vandalism. Please take care of our park.  The Skate Park does have lights.



Pioneer Village

Pioneer Village is located at 1880 Art Gonzales Parkway and may be rented for a variety of purposes, including, but not limited to Birthday Parties, Family Reunions, Special Events and a variety of other potential events.  The Cities annual Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween "IT LIVES" Event and Mariachi Festival are just a few of the annual events held at Pioneer Village.  Please take a look below at the Pioneer Village Application for the policies and procedures to rent Pioneer Village.
