The Communications Center is the primary point of contact for all emergency and non-emergency requests for police, fire and medical assistance in the City of Selma. 911 calls in Selma are received by a dispatcher who asks the questions necessary to determine the nature of the event. Personnel and equipment are assigned based on the need. The seven Public Safety Dispatchers are rotated to work in the Communications Center 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
