Barbara Street Improvement Project

The Barbara Street Improvement Project is scheduled to begin Monday, June 5, 2023. The estimated time to complete the project is August 7, 2023.

The project includes roadway reconstruction of Barbara Street between Wright Street & McCall Avenue and Mulberry Street & McCall Avenue, within the City of Selma.

This project will consist of removal and replacement of asphalt pavement, curbs and gutters, sidewalks, storm drain inlet, pavement markings, striping & signage. At a certain phase of the project, the traffic signal lights on McCall Avenue & Barbara Street will be on red flash mode.

During this time, we ask that you be cautious when driving in these areas. Traffic detours will be in place.
