When an emergency strikes, the last thing you should worry about is how much an ambulance ride will cost. Through the Tri-County FireMed program, Selma residents can protect their households from unexpected medical transport expenses for just $75 a year.

FireMed provides peace of mind by covering many of the costs that insurance does not, helping families focus on recovery instead of bills. The program offers support for emergency ambulance transport, pre-authorized non-emergency rides when available, and interfacility transfers with prior authorization, all without deductibles or co-pays.

“Preparedness is not only about supplies and safety plans. It is also about financial peace of mind when emergencies strike,” said Fire Chief Jordan Webster. “FireMed helps remove the worry of cost when an ambulance is needed, allowing our members to focus fully on their health and recovery. It is one of the most meaningful ways we can stand beside the people we serve.”

The Tri-County FireMed partnership between the cities of Selma, Kingsburg, and Dinuba serves an area of more than 650 square miles, ensuring emergency care remains accessible and affordable for local residents.

FireMed is designed as a community safety net. Emergency services will always be provided to everyone, but FireMed membership helps ease the financial burden that can follow. By joining, residents help strengthen a system built on care, readiness, and community support.

Membership is open to all households within the service area and runs for one year. To receive a full year of coverage, residents should enroll by October 31, 2025.
