Crestwood Healing Center Grand Opening

Behind a simple storefront at Selma Plaz now stands a place of healing for those who need it most. Last week, we joined Crestwood Behavioral Health to celebrate the grand opening of the new Selma Wellness Center, a project six years in the making that brings vital mental health resources to our community.

When Crestwood’s facilities team first saw the site in 2019, they walked out, convinced it couldn’t be done. With determination, partnership from City staff, and support from Fresno County and local agencies, the vision came to life.

The Selma Wellness Center can house up to 40 residents and features spaces for Zumba, recreation, a library, and a gym that support recovery and wellness. More than 50 new jobs have been created, and what was once an empty building is now a place of hope, compassion, and second chances.
