This short-term demonstration will test traffic-calming and safety improvements designed to enhance walking, biking, and driving conditions in our neighborhoods. The goal is to evaluate how temporary design changes can improve visibility, slow vehicle speeds, and increase overall safety.

📍 Locations Affected

Mitchell Avenue & Almond Street
Detour routes will utilize Nebraska Ave and Pine St.

Wright Street & Burnham Street
Detour routes will utilize Northill St and Huntsman Ave.

Both intersections will be closed to through traffic from 9:00 am–12:00 pm. Barricades and “Road Closed to Thru Traffic” signage will be placed in accordance with the approved traffic control plan. Clearly marked detour routes will guide drivers around the closures.
