SELMA, Calif. — The Selma Fire Department responded to a structure fire Sunday morning at McCall Village Mobile Home Park that resulted in the death of one resident.

Crews were dispatched at approximately 10:30 a.m. to McCall Village Mobile Home Park, located at 1701 E. Dinuba Ave. in Selma, and arrived to find a fully involved mobile home fire. Despite the efforts of responding personnel, one elderly male resident was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Fire crews remained on scene to conduct overhaul operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and no additional details are available at this time.

The City of Selma and the Selma Fire Department extend their deepest condolences to the family and to the McCall Village community.
