AB 481 Community Meeting
The Selma Police Department will host an AB 481 Annual Report Community Meeting on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Police Department Community Room.
The meeting will give community members an opportunity to review the department’s annual report on military equipment in its possession and ask questions about its use under AB 481.
AB 481 is a California law that requires law enforcement agencies to provide public transparency and annual reporting related to military equipment. The law also requires local governing body approval for the funding, acquisition, and use of that equipment.
Community members are welcome to attend and learn more about the department’s annual use report and the requirements outlined under state law.
