PG&E Planned Power Outage Scheduled for July 16-17
Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) has scheduled a planned overnight power outage in the vicinity of Whitson & 2nd Streets to safely replace an electric power pole. The outage is expected to begin on Thursday, July 16, at 9:30 p.m. and continue until approximately 4:30 a.m. on Friday, July 17.

- Time: 9:30 p.m. - 4:30 a.m.
- Location: Vicinity of Whitson & 2nd Streets
- Reason: Replacement of an electric power pole
While PG&E expects to complete the work as scheduled, the outage may be postponed if weather conditions or an unforeseen emergency make it unsafe to proceed.
How to Prepare
To help minimize inconvenience during the outage, PG&E recommends:
- Charge cell phones and other electronic devices before the outage begins.
- Have flashlights with fresh batteries available.
- Keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed to help preserve food.
- If you rely on electrically powered medical equipment, make arrangements for backup power or an alternate location if needed.
- Be prepared to reset clocks, irrigation timers, and other electronic devices after power is restored.
